Planning a wedding can be a challenge, and we at Sposae know it very well. There are many things to think about, but above all two whole worlds to reconcile. Even well-tested couples are put to the test when planning a wedding. But how long does it take for planning?
The minimum time to plan the wedding

Beyond the personal needs, there is actually a minimum time to organize the wedding and it basically depends on practical needs. Those who marry civilly will in fact have to wait at least three weeks, since the ceremony can only be celebrated starting from the twelfth day from the date of the posting of the publications.
Then there are other fundamental considerations, ranging from the availability of the locations for the ceremony and the party to the need to give guests time to organize themselves. In fact, invitations should be sent six to eight weeks before the wedding, which is why even those in a hurry should consider at least three months to plan the wedding. But if you are planning an intimate ceremony, feel freer to follow your own schedule.
Be flexible
In addition to the practical needs, a necessary condition for planning the wedding is flexibility. We have already said that in theory it could only take one month, but this also means “settling down”: of course, you can only organize a small party, choose a wedding or groom dress from the outlet selection and cut the guest list. But as many suppliers and locations are in high demand, so much so that they are booked a year or more in advance, it may be difficult to organize your dream ceremony.
The key is therefore to try to keep different paths open: if you want to get married in a few months, you will most likely have to give up on Saturday, the most popular day, and opt for a more intimate ceremony. If you are looking for a last minute location out of season, don’t be afraid to negotiate the initial quote: you may be able to block a dream location at a really affordable price.
Pay attention to the budget

Taking a year or more to plan your wedding also means indulging in the necessary cost reflections and comparing suppliers. If, on the other hand, you want to do everything faster, you will need to be ready to spend your budget faster and without having to ask for other quotes. Plus, instead of spreading the payments over the course of the year (or even beyond), you’ll have to pay everything right away.
Also consider the time of year when the wedding will take place, because booking hotels and transport for friends and relatives who come from afar could lead to unexpected difficulties for a last minute wedding.
